We feel totally left out! It seems everyone we know has snow…even those who don’t appreciate it like us.
Our family loves snow and we all get a little giddy around here when it starts falling. It seems like we have moved to a zone in the puget sound that doesn’t get as much precipitation, which is good when it comes to rain.
OK, well I didn’t tell the exact truth. We did get about 1/2 an inch…enough to close school, but not enough for the kids to enjoy messing around outside in it.
Marissa walked around the house bummed out most of the morning. I asked her what was up with the attitude and tears came to her eyes,”I just called Kristin (friend in Lake Stevens) and she was out side playing with her friends in the snow.”
This called for drastic measures. Off to the movies the two of us trekked. Well not much trekking because there was no snow to trek through…oh yeah, I already mentioned this fact.

marissa, come on over!! come play in our snow!
My daughter Madison called my mom one winter day a few years ago. Mom was in Seattle and we were, and still are, in Arizona. Mom told Madison “we have snow on the ground”. Madison looked out the window and said in a sad voice “We don’t got snow. We just got rocks.”
:0) I would love to see some snow but that probably won’t happen around here! Merry Christmas!!!
Thank you Christy and Molly for your warm and funny thoughts:) We finally have tons of snow and the girls have each been with new friends today out in it! Yeah!
I remember that day! I remember you telling me all about it when you got home.
Good memories and good laughs.
