I love being a mom! Don’t get me wrong I have my ‘meltdown moments’ but this particular week was so sweet.
My work schedule changed unexpectedly at the last minute, so I decided a "mommy day" was in order. My girls love these surprises. This time I picked up Marissa from school, just before lunch. She was so excited, "Thank you mommy!" (there are no better words to a heart) We proceeded to McDonald’s where we stuffed our faces with those delicious greasy fries and topped off the meal with deep fried apple pies. There is a reason we only do this once in a blue moon(what is a blue moon anyway?) After this we headed to the Outlet Mall where I took Marissa shopping. (I love the Children’s Place-great sales!)
What a wonderful day: the sun shining, crisp fall air, and the best part- one little hand wrapped around mine! A day to remember. Oh it goes by so quick and before I know it my "daughter day" is over. But wait… isn’t it Cambria’s turn next…goody! I can’t wait!

Hi Michelle, You inspired me to do the same thing! On Tuesday (my daughter’s birthday), I collected her from school at 10.30am, took her to lunch with her Dad and then we hit the Mall. She kept hugging me and saying ‘thankyou’ all day long … needless to say, I LOVED IT!
